Tattoos anyone??
Yosimite Sam on my a$$.
None yet, but I've been wanting to get some for many years. I have 2 picked out, maybe this is the year. Wife has one, a Maltese Cross on top of her left wrist.
Wife has more. Arms, legs, chest. Guess left over from her Latina Gang Banger days!
Well now she is a wife, mother and grandmother. Still don't wanta **** her off, like on the back of her helmet says" I got PMS and a GUN..any questions?"
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
Well..... I might have one, after Sturgis this year. Four years ago I told my son when he graduated from High School, we'd get Harleys, ridearound America all summer, and get a tatoo at Sturgis. He graduates in 3 weeks. I got the Harleys, and we're doing the ride, but I'm really having second thoughts about the tatoos. Any suggestions?
The point is (for me, at least) to have something done that is meaningful enough to want to be permanently reminded. For example, I have a heart with a banner on my right arm (bicep area). The banner says "Dad". I got it shortly after my father died. He was my personal hero for many reasons, and the kindest, most generous person I have ever known. Not just to me and the family, but to everyone he knew (but I suppose I'm biased
). Of course, I don't need a tattoo to be reminded of my father, but when I see it I am reminded daily of what it takes to be a great man who is loved, appreciated, and respected by those around him. I could never fill his shoes, but I'm a better man for trying.I have another on my upper left arm/shoulder. It's an Indian dream catcher with a longhorn skull in the center and some feathers hanging from the bottom of the dream catcher. It's a nod to my wife's Native American heritage.
I love'em when done "right". Of course "right" is all in the eye of the beholder, ya know?
I have 5 - all are about the size of a hardball. I would love to get a big one on my right arm/shoulder/neck - like George Clooney had in "From Dusk Till Dawn"...I'd just want about 3/4 of an inch to come out of my shirt on my neck tho...that'd be sweet...SOME day....

(NOTE: I am NOT a George Clooney fan - can't stand him to be honest - but the tat in the movie is 'da bomb)Oh - and for what its worth - I hear people say all the time "I can't get a tattoo because of my work; professional setting" blah blah blah...BS...if anything, I've found that the tattoos arean ice breaker of sorts...I've never had a problem with my forearm or bicep being visible...heck, I usually get compliments...
I agree about the professional thing, especially these days. My wife has a nose ring, and she visits with clients all the time, no problems! Heck, she even has had 3 job offers (2 jobs) since she got it pierced! Ink isn't as big a deal as it was even 5 years ago.
