what i remember about Syn oil is that the bearings would melt before oil break down.

To each his own just confused on your change on the thread.

Have been running MOTUL 10W-60 syn for several years, no problems, now approaching 85,000 miles. It is not conveniently available locally so I must order ahead of time, and that is the same for any oil not carried in the local area so it is no more inconvenient than any other oil that must be ordered ahead of time.
