Tour Pack Mount

Tour Pack Mount
So I got my aftermarket tour pack and detachable mount a few days ago. I'm having a hard time deciding how I want to attach the pack to the mount. If I put it where the mount fits into the space under the pack, the pack sits a couple inches too far back. If I put it foreword any further it won't sit level or I'll have to use a spacer. Can someone with a '09 or newer with detachable TP please post a picture of the bottom of your TP? I want to see how/where your mount is attached. Thanks

Mounted it with a metal plate, this allows you to attach the TP to the detach rack anywhere you like. I used 5 bolts for TP, and 4/5 for plate to rack. 1 bolt in center of TP also goes through center of plate. 4 more bolts to attach plate to detach rack. 4 other bolts to mount TP to plate. The TP is wider then the detach mount. The wider plate provides more TP stability imo. Added some rubber hose split in half on the outboard sides of the TP where it sits on the plate to make contact everywhere. The ends on this TP curve up a bit and are not level with the TP bolt holes mounting locations.

I was having the same issue with mine. I mounted my tour pak as a solo seat backrest using the harley one up tour pak mount. It was either too close or too far. I ended up with this:

It was pricey, but it's perfect. Now with the flip of four levers I can move the pak forward and backward within a four inch range. When I wear bulky jackets in cold weather I can push it back a bit further and not be hunched over. And vice versa in warm weather I cam it forward.
