Just get a King, then you won't have to worry about which to get.
Like you said, rent one. The dealer can apply the rental to the purchase. But then again, with a King, you can add a detachable fairing whenever you want.
well.......if you are riding a bike... the proper way is to lean, push your thigh against the tank....not to counter steer,...
Sorry, Bud. When you lean, you are countersteering, you just don't realize it. Think what happens to your handlebars when you lean and you'll understand....
I cant see $300.00 difference as a deal breaker that's the MSRP difference on HD web site
There used to be a larger difference in price. My uncle said he went back to the electra glide between his 05 road glide and his 11 road glide because there was a large price difference.
After a few comfort mods to my SG, it rides amazing. The wife and I rack up plenty of miles with no complaints. I always liked the look of the RG's. I switched with my buddy who has a 15 RG and fell in love with it. I'm strongly considering getting one in spring. I plan on giving my son my SG in a few years.
I ride an 08 sg and a 16 sgs love them both the 08 a little better than the 16. Only because I built the engine in the 08. Was out riding around one day and stopped at *** harley in asheboro nc to test ride the new m8. Well they had 2 they were letting everyone test ride. A sgs and a rgs. I ended up testing out the road glide. Couldn't wait to get back to the dealer to give that thing back to them. Couldn't stand all that crap called a shark nose hanging about 4 feet out in front of me while riding the bike. It wasn't all that to me. To each his own. I'll stick with the batwing. The road glide sucked to me. But you may like it so as others have said test ride test ride test ride. Good luck In whatever you decide.
Isn't there a counter steer thread somewhere else that's been beat to death?
Many times, LOL! I used to teach guys how to ride from nothing to something and it still amazes me after 42 years in the saddle, there are people on 2 wheels who don't have basic skills training.
