Congratulations on the retirement! Personally, I don't care for the word 'retirement.' I 'retired' at the age of 45 (49 now), but I'm busier nowadays than when I was 'so called' working. I had my own business, sold it, and now I'm doing the things I love to do -- AND making money at it!
I hope that you have some hobbies and a list of things you want to do in this short life. Good Luck to you!
After 30 years of teaching science in a public high school, I'm finished. Retired on May 24th, 2007. Let the road trips begin!!!

It's time to get all leathered up and seek out all the little bastards who made your life a living hell and kick their *****. I'm sure you have your hit list ready by now.
34 years on the Fire Dept as of March 15, 2007 - This is my last year. I really do believe in my signature line. I am finishing a 72 hour shift this morning and I put three guys in a body bag over the past 72 hours - NONE had anything to do with age... I try and enjoy life as it goes along - if we completly wait for retirment then we just may get cheated a little... Thanks for your years of service to our kids and now get out and enjoy the rest of your life - you have earned it...
I have been retired since 2002, love it, plenty of road trips, at least 2 big ones a year now..hope yours is as much fun as mine is..you have earned it, so go enjoy it. if you had kids as bad as I was, you really earned it. [sm=icon_rofl.gif]
