I personally have not. But one of our HOG members purchased them and were very pleased with them. He said they are bright. He has had them for over a year.
I had the "Sunpie" passing lamps. Just liked my truck lite passing lamps to keep the look the same. One difference is plastic lenses on the ones I had. Obviously to keep the costs down. But might scratch easier too.

Does he ride at night? What does the beam pattern look like?
I have a set of JW Speaker headlights on my Jeep wrangler and a set of JWS knock off fog lights as well (Didn't want to fork out $360 extra for the fogs)
Now I have the same set up (but 1 headlight only) on my bike. I have the HD branded JW Speaker headlight and passing lamps which are the exact same fog lamps used in jeeps.
So, based on several comparisons we did and some Jeep forum discussions, the eBay knock off headlights DO NOT have a decent cutt off (if at all) and tend to scatter light in all directions, VS the JWS which have a very defined and crisp cut off. On the road, the knock offs seem much brighter, in fact, the knockoff fogs on my jeep are brighter than the HD branded passing lights.
I don't mind paying a bit extra for a better product and to not be flashed by oncoming traffic all the time.
If you don't have to have the HD branded light, some Jeep part vendors sell the set of JW Speaker lights in chrome or black for around $470 shipped to your door. Thats only $235 a piece for a life time warranted brand new product... food for thought.

I bought a set of the Sunpie evo's that fit a jeep. 1 for my 11 sg and the other on a friends 07 road king. $146 shipped. I'm very pleased. Had it about 8 months with no problems. Instead of buying the deeper ring, I just cut out the bucket for clearance. Works great with a huge improvement in light.
