Those aren't "Harley" lights. They are Chinese clones that will fit on a Harley.
My typical comment: parts specified by, and designed by and manufactured by a Chinese company, are not the same as those parts specified by, and designed by a US company and manufactured by a Chinese company.
I have a set of passing lights from LED Factory Mart, the lights appear to be well made and the fit was perfect. These passing lights are slightly brighter than my JW Speaker headlight. These were something like $80 for the pair verses $240 apiece for the JW lights I decided to give them a try, I've had them on for over a month and haven't had any problems. I took my time aiming them and have not been flashed once. My buddy just purchased a headlight from them and loves it.
Bought some 4" for my motorhome from Amazon they look good and as bright as our 15 limited passing lamps and the box has picture of 4.5" for Harley Davidson and under $ 50 bucks not much to loose.
I bought the "Eagle Lights" Gen2 kit with spots and deeper trim ring. They are on Facebook and if called will call back and are very helpful. 330 complete and work fantastic. They are DOT approved and the headlight is tempered glass and supposedly better then the factory light as it is the updated version. The cut off line is razor sharp and is aligned simply on a garage door at 25 feet. The spots alone are brighter than my old light on high beam and you can see deer a hell of a lot better on the shoulders, much further away. They were plug and play on my 08 Ultra.
Does he ride at night? What does the beam pattern look like?
I am sure he rides at night. There were about 6 of us talking about them, and I don't remember who it was that actually had them. We have a HOG meeting later this month. I will see if I can find out the answers to your question and maybe a pic.
I have the Mctuning 7"LED as a cost effective way of replacing my stock housing with LED bulbs . It's the best lighting I have had to date. Much better than stock hallogen and a bit better than LED bulbs in the stock housing. I don't know how it compares to a branded LED light but I am happy with the results.
