I ran Commander II's. Loved everything about them....except one thing....they suck on twisty wet roads. Back to OEM's. I'm going to try the Metzler 888 next go around.
I just put on a set of Avon Cobras. Read way too many posts about the MCII's being slippery when wet. These may not last as long but don't really care if they stick.

Dunlop American Elite III. They run good, dry or wet. Had them for 8,000 miles now and they're wearing just as well, if not better than the OEMs. I had the MCII too and have to agree with other posts about lack of handling on wet roads.
I ran the OEM Dunlops for the first 2 years I had this bike. They suck in the rain , and wore out fairly quickly, a new back tire each season, about 15000 kms per season.(9300 miles)
I switched to American Elites at the beginning of this season, and what a difference. Better ride and handling.Great wet road holding , and I put about 17000 kms(10540 miles) on this year, and will likely get at least most of next season out of them too.
I'm a happy camper .
