Well my wife bought me the CB setup for my 2017 Ultra for Christmas. I was not going to get it, although I am a road captain for local rides and CB's are what everyone uses. Too pricey. But it was a great Christmas present!
Sounds like you got a cool ol'lady AND a CB. Congrats
This post sparked my curiosity... I have a '14 Limited and the headset that came with it is still in the box. It lists 77147-98A on the box
Inside the box, this is what I have.
Tried reading the instructions page seeing what model is listed, but (without opening the bag) this is pretty much all I can see.
So, is this headset the newer/better 77117-10?
Either way, it's BNIB and I'll never use it. It also fits into a Medium USPS Flat Rate Priority box and ships anywhere in the US for $13.45
75 bucks shipped and it's yours...
I'm going to open mine up tonight when I get home. If it's the new style, I may take you up on you offer.
Ok, can anyone identify this headset as an older model or the newer? It's the one that came with my '17 RGU. By reading the instructions, it appears to be the newer. The instructions refer to model number 77117-10. I wonder if the box label is a unique number assigned to those that come stock with bikes equipped to accommodate these headsets.
This is the older headset. It's not nearly as sexy. Notice the difference in the headset body and Mic.
Confirmed. Just went to the dealer and compared mine to the ones on the shelf in the orange and black box. Exact same set with the exception of the disc is missing. But as another poster mentioned, the new radios are already updated.
Another vote for J&M Elite's. Between my wife and I, we have 3 sets of them and they sound great. We used the HD ones for one ride and hated the audio quality. I got all of mine from Sierra, they had the best prices and always have shipped quickly.
