I got a set of Full Boar slip ons for christmas and installed them today, Why would the right side be getting warm and the right side is blowing cold air and pipes and muffler are staying cool to the touch after running about 2 to 3 minutes. Its an 06 Electra Glide with the factory Y pipe on the rear cylinder

Well,
1) You only let it run (idling?) 2-3mins max with little to no load on the motor which isn't enough time to heat the motor & ex system to norm op temp.
2) It's colder /early winter where your located in PA. so pipes take longer then 2-3 mins to heat up when outside airtemp & motor are starting out @ a considerable lower temp to begin with.
3) The pref mufflers you installed are less restrictive thus allowing exhaust to now flow a bit faster thru the entire ex system not allowing the exhaust flow to get backed up/slowed like happened with the stock restrictive mufflers you just removed from the bike.
Now if it was 70-80 deg f out and you rode the bike for 8-10 mins @ 55-60mph and then stopped to touch feel the pipes & or mufflers you would likely be leaving some meat behind stuck onto chrome ex pipes and or the mufflers!/OUCH!/LOL!
Bike is in my garage so its not real cold and the factory Y pipe running down to the right side ( front cyl ) is super hot and to the left is luke warm if that and left muffler blowing cool air. Should I put something in right muffler to restrict it some
From what I've read here, the front cyl. exhaust pulse helps in the scavenging of exhaust gas from the rear out the R/H exhaust. I'm sure at throttle the left will get warm/hot.
