If you plan on keeping the Bike long term, the one with the lower mileage is the one I would get.
Do a full service on it and ride the hell out of it. Good Luck & Ride Safe.

Either one sounds good but that low mileage sounds real good. Are the extras what you personally would want. I'd be interested in shape of tires, brakes overall condition. I'm sure it would be worth a few bucks one or both to a dealer and have them give you their thoughts, that is if you have a dealer DOWN. BY THE RIVER.
Good luck

So one bike is $11,000 USA dollars, has papers and some extra stuff with 44,000 miles.
The other bike is $12,000 USA dollars, stock and has 12,000 miles.
Any history at all on the $12,000 mile bike? a vin check?, previous owner? any way to know anything about the bike?
The extra items would only mean something to me if it was something i wanted anyways so the valu is limited.
I would review the $12,000 bike again...A $1,000 is not that big of a difference if that is the one that you like.
With that low of miles i would expect it to look perfect.

" Let me know if you see a 2010 HD ultra limited for under 11k I would really appreciate it for sure "

Well up front your not going to typically see " a starting asking price below $11k on a 2010" ,it's when you show up to look at a bike they are asking 11,500-12k-12,500 for ,test ride & are then serious about buying with cash where with some good hageling skill & luck is when at times you can get much better price especially when buying privately vs from a dealer.

Someone i know bought a very clean 2010 FLHTCU with 15k miles on it in 2015 for $10,500 cash on the spot which was if i remember correctly $4,500-5k+ under book @ the time seeing 1st hand it can be done.

I wasn't as lucky when i was in the market for an HD that i bought 11/2014, but i still did ok getting it for approx $2k under book.

It was a 1 owner 2009 FLHTCU with 9,700 miles on it that was clean & well cared for with only 2 small chips in the paint that booked for approx $15,500 @ the time (2014) which i got for $13,500 cash.

Unless you already know you are not going to be happy with stock perf i would hands down hagel hard using cash for the low 12k mile bike w-$12k asking price vs other bike thats got over 3x+ more miles to begin with.

Now if you already know your going to install new cams & lifters ,slipons,a tuner, aftermarket seat & other access to the low mile bike then thats when you would maybe be better off hageling hard with cash on that bike.

But also keep in mind if you install an Se air cleaner, perf slipon mufflers for better breathing & XIED's to enrich fuel mix a bit that would maybe wake up the low mile bike's perf enough for your liking to go with that bike having 3x+ less miles to begin with which would be my choice.

I did the se AC,slipons & Xied's on my 09 with stock 96" motor and it made a noticeable diff especially in mid to upper rpm range power/perf which may or may not be enough of a perf inc for you .

Bottom line is YOU are the person that has to make the decision which way to go & then go for it!/LOL!

Just be careful if going to chk out a bike to buy with cash in hand to get best price & take a buddy with you for some x-tra support.

Please dont forget to post back in this same thread to let us know which bike you went for & what price you got them down to.

Both prices are great on the 2010's, dears in a 100 mile radius are typically $3-$4k higher. I know the one that has the lesser miles I could get maybe $300-$400 off but the price is so good I couldn't blame seller for not budging much. The other bike may have some more wiggle room as the mileage will be a point of trying to get a better price. I saw this morning on cycle trader #2 2014 ultra classics with approx. 40k for around 12k they are in CA but I guess shipping would be $600-$800 that may be option. I have time on my side and being January most are motivated to sell at least here VA and north.

Guy in Jersey selling a 12 Ultra Limited, 2009 Street Glide(sold), on Cycle Trader. black with 15K miles for asking price 12,600. Was seriously considering. Was a great price in my mind. Mostly stock. Mustang seat. Maybe slip ons. dealers are around 2-3 grand more at lest. One dealer in Connecticut $19995 for a stock 2012! Such BS. Of course he can ask whatever he wants.

a lot would depend on what type of rider you are. Do you like to change bikes every couple years? If so I would go with the lower mile bike as reselling it would be easier.
If you ride low miles each year and plan on keeping it forever, then it wouldn't matter.
For me, I would check out the 12k mile bike as I think it is a better value for the money as long as it's in good shape.
I paid $13,000 for my 2012 EGC with 11k on it last spring. Some say that I paid to much. It was one of the best deals on a newer touring HD that I had found in my area. What i'm trying to say is if you plan on keeping it, buy what you want and don't worry about so much about a couple dollars difference in price.
If you want to ride a little bit and resell it and move on to the next one, then look for the bike that will be easiest to resell and cheap.

Thanks CIKE, that makes sense, I usually keep bikes at least 6 years or more, but have never owned a large touring bike so hopefully will be happy and keep for a long time, as a matter of fact my current bike 99 cbr1100xx super blackbird(best bike to date I have owned) I will hold onto for a while in case the Utra doesn't work out
