So I am looking at 2# 2010 Ultra Limited's. One has 44k it is a one owner bike with all service records and a good bit of extra's price $11. The other is a 2010 w/12k but no history at all appears to be in good condition and is pretty stock $12. What are you guys thoughts? Thanks in advance
I just traded my one owner 2010 Ultra back in July with 56k miles on it. The dealer sold it the next morning without ever touching it! I got $11,500 trade in. Not sure what he sold is for?
Not sure what the "extras" are but when you start adding them up, they are very pricey when you have to purchase them. Nothing wrong with 44k miles. Bought an 09 in 2011 for $13.5k with 15k miles. Put 30k miles on it and traded it in to the same dealer for $16.5k. Sold a week later. AND I stripped off all my extras and placed them on my new 2013.
Miles are one thing - how it was ridden and cared for is another.. If buy a used bike, I would make a deal with the one 'however'
I would pay for a Full inspection by a trused HD - if it passes - deal is done. For me, cheap insurance.
As far as extras - If YOU like them, that's a plus. Most of the time, extras are worth about 1/4 of cost

Trade in on a new HD where they can hide & or play games on trade in price is 1 thing ,but what you can sell them is completely diff story.
I have been watching what 2009-2010 HD's like OP's looking at are realistically selling for on the street & or online(no @ HD dealer) and i see them going for significantly less money, for example:
In today's market & economy (even though book value show's higher) the higher mile HD they are asking $11k for would realistically sell for approx $9,000-9,500 or so & the other bike with sig less miles they are asking 12k for would sell for approx $10,500-10,800 or so " IN PRIVATE SALE, NOT IN THE AVG HD DEALER! ".
Well go on craigslist/cycle trader and those prices are the best around dealers are asking about 3-5k more for the same bikes. Let me know if you see a 2010 HD ultra limited for under 11k I would really appreciate it for sure.
