I use Craftsman Professional retaining Ring Pliers, internal/external. The tips are interchangeable for the different size retaining rings.

ha ha so true. Put a towel or 2 around your bike and hope it goes flying off onto the towel and not between the pavers like has happened to me.

Mine is from Harbor Freight too.

I have a set of kobalt from Lowes with multiple tips, I use these very little so the multi tip work perfect and don't take up a lot of space.

Even when I have snap ring pliers, I find it easier to just use a screwdriver. Never had any luck with snap ring pliers.
