Default Spot light switch

I have a 2015 Ultra-Low. I hit the spot light switch (button switch-not a rocker) and the lights come on but don't set. As long asd I hold the button down the lights burn but they won't stay on when I release. Is there a known defect or recall on this item, or a history of problems?

Are your brights on? If so they override the spots

Yeah as mentioned above if the high beam is on the spots go off. Check it on low beam. If still a problem I would bet your switch is bad. Never heard of any issues or recalls on these.

Just FYI I had the dealer to program my spots to stay on all the time, high or low beams.

Good luck.

Thank you for your reply. No, my brights are not on. It may be a defective switch. If you hold it down they will come on, but as soon as you release they go off. Again thanks for your reply!

Does the switch stay down when you push it or does it come back up

For the ~15 bucks, I'd install a new switch and be done with it.

Is the bike still under warranty? If so, HD should fix it for you. If not just replace the switch. There are no recalls on that switch- you can look up any recalls applicable to your bike on HD's website. As shown above, new switch is cheap so if no warranty, just put in a new one.
