We own a 2016 Road Glide Ultra. Are the rider and passenger able to talk back and forth through the intercom system if the bike is not equipped with a CB?

I am 99.999% sure the answer is YES.

CB is only for bike to bike communication.

On your bike the audio between you and the passenger should be really good.

The com system works great. CB is not required. There are pretty much just the two settings of volume and vox.

Be sure to turn off rear controls so the passenger can only adjust their volume. We don't want them messing with the music.

Intercom must be set to "on". Rider AND passenger intercom volume must be turned up. This can be confusing because the intercom volume, the music volume, and the GPS prompt volume all use the same control button. The manual explains this in more detail.
