I think no matter what the tank paint is, the emblem should be black. But depending on whether you have a denim paint or gloss paint makes a difference as to whether the emblem should be a gloss black or satin black.
On a denim paint, I think you could go either way... gloss black to match all the other gloss black on the bike, or a satin black to match the finish of the denim paint.
On gloss paint, I think the emblem should be gloss black. Even on the vivid black. The 3D shape of the emblem will still stand out, even if it's the same color as the tank. The other option for vivid black could be chrome, assuming you haven't gotten rid of any of the little bit of chrome that exists on the stock RKS.
I've thought about these for my RKS. Night and day difference is hard to imagine seeing that I feel like I have the stock shocks dialed in.
Not doubting your experience whatsoever. What can you say changed the most for you?
Glad it's worked for you and your happy with the results.
The general feeling is way more comfortable, and better control of the bike on the twisties. Near my house I have a good mix of good/bad roads and freeway/twisties. It felt better in all cases.
The stock ones was hard on my back, even with no preload.
I only rode for over an hour, but was enough to make me happy with the performance and comfort.
I still need to get the wife for a ride and get her take.
but I do believe will be a easy choice.
Also its a 13 shock, by itself is already better than the stock 12
DenisLM is right. I put 13" Ohlins HD772 on and the ride is night and day. The Harley shocks are crap. But I did not like the height so I lowered it just over an inch. Did make it a little stiffer but it is still way better.
Installed Aux lights last week. Very easy job. Also gave me a relo for the sigs from the bars to where they belong (IMO).
Interestingly, neither I nor my dealer could find Harley aux lamp visor trims in black, only available in chrome. I ordered a set off Amazon, but they were offshore garbage. Wouldn’t use them. Ordered a set of higher quality offshore ones (lol) from Harley and had them powder coated. Came out great.
Edit: Jeez, I have no short term memory anymore. Forgot I posted about the Aux lights already. Oh well, at least the visors are new...
