Ya, i dont think I'll ever sell. The only thing I might sell for eventually is a road glide if I end up touring a lot more.
I almost traded my RKS for a road glide special this weekend . Thinking of doing more touring but just cant get over the size of that front end on the road glide .

Did you do a test ride? It's basically the end of the season here so I might do one next season. Ive sat on a couple and it was definitely much heavier when standing it up off the kickstand. Im curious to see how different the feel is. I did by the king so I could put a detachable ferrying like a memphis shade on it. This way I'd have the option to take it off when riding around town.

I have a question.. I have stock bars (I think they're Heritage bars) on my '17 Road King. I'm looking for about two or so more inches on my bars to put my hands up a bit and less reach..
Can I get away with 2 or so more inches without having to change the clutch hydraulic line??? The bars I'm looking at on the HD website are about 120 bucks, and the clutch line is also about 120 more....really??? No thanks

Yes, I'm lookng for a cheap way to go...
Thanks
yes
14" Factory 47 on mine with no change to hydraulic lines
14" KST Straight Jacket bars on my '19 Road King (not Special), and that's basically the limit before you need to change hydraulics. You'll need to cut zip ties and re-route the lines to get more slack, but it will work.
You'll need the wiring harness extensions for the left and right switch housings, but that's pretty inexpensive (about $30 for both from KST)

I hear ya! I do not like having that fairing...adds bulk & awkwardness to me & looks more mass produced. In other words...I just don't like em! I have my phone for navigation & Samsung bluetooth buds for music or whatever. I just throw on my 22" Freedom Shield and Road Sofa two up heated seat for touring with/without the g/f & I am a happy guy! I am deeply in love with my RK Special! Winter brings a WOOD 22X-E cam with S&S oil pump, plate and bearing, etc, etc. Hope to use my Fuelpak3 with the setup initially, add a PV or Thundermax lwith dynotune ater!
