I'd get some angled adjustable highway peg mounts (50500168). I personally prefer the short ones. The long ones got in the way of getting my foot from the footboard to the brake.

The ones I have came with the bike when I bought it. They aren't bad, Id rather the thicker board type but these will do for now until everything higher up on the list is done. Main thing is getting the bars right. Until then I am limited to shorter rides or taking a lot of breaks.

I can do one on one off and reach fine but with both on I am fully stretched out to hold onto the bars.
Just found these old photos... This bike had 16" wild one chubbys with all wires and cables sold in a kit by Hill Country Customs. I also have short arms and legs. If the bars are in line with your forks, "which looks best" Your hands do not have to reach nearly as far as stock.
Look at my arm position, straight out, relaxed, and Im sitting back.
I did many cross country trips like this in comfort

Yeah, I guess I am just going to get new bars, my buddy has 10" apes on his I am going to test that out and see how well those fit. From what I have gathered online 14" is max you can go without having to do cables which I'd prefer not to do.

10" isn't gonna make much of a difference when it comes to reach. The stock bars are 9", with the additional angle you're maybe gaining a little over 0.5" in reach.

14" is a really nice size for most people. I'm 6', and I put 16" bars on mine, which are just about perfect.

I am looking at these at the moment https://www.jpcycles.com/product/975...gade-handlebar

I will either go with 12" or 14" I don't think my stock bars are 9" but I could definitely be wrong as I haven't measured. The dealer told me they were 6" mini apes, but he was also a moron. Either way the 6" pull back compared to what I have currently even at 12" should be plenty for what I am looking for.

I tossed this info out in another thread and figured I would place it here as well.

Picked up a 20RKS last year and only thing I didn’t like were the bars. I was confused why they put 9” apes on it and then pulled them back like beach bars???

Before I took delivery I asked the dealer to roll them forward so they were straight up like an ape should be. Much better look and I was happy with the feel so left stock bars on..

For comparison this is typically how you see the stock bars from factory.
