That is B. S.!! The cluster F*&k is ON THEM for subbing parts without your permission...UNLESS you said "ok let's do it"! Curious minds just gotta know...who is it??
High Desert Harley in Meridian, ID. The owner called me and promised me 1. My money back for the Smart Tune that doesn't work with the 131/ecm. 2. a free 5K service. 3. A free 10K service. This was all before I even knew there was an issue with the riser. When the parts dummy asked me to go in half I couldn't believe it. Not only do they got some nerve - they have ZERO class!

Time to move along from that one. That relationship is soured & needs to be tossed in the garbage!
Finally got my bike after two and a half long months of waiting. I have a question for anyone running Carlini 1.5" bars - what riser/handlebar clamp are you using. The dealership installed an LA Choppers clamp on mine and the bars can be pulled back no further than you see in the picture. Tech said if he pulled them back any further it would pinch the wires coming out of the bar? Any help would be appreciated.
This may sound stupid, but did he by chance put the top clamp of the riser on 180 degrees backwards? The hole patterns are symmetrical and maybe there is an indentation on the other side of the plate that would allow more room for the wires when you rotate the bars back........
So I'd like to replace the chrome fuel gauge and gas cap on my '21 RKS and I came across this kit from H-D (https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/e...it/p/75027-08D) but it says it works for '08-'19 Road King models. Has anyone tried it on a '20 or '21 model? I can't see why it wouldn't work, but I thought I'd ask before I start screwing with stuff.

They don't update every add-on part compatibility every year. The tank hasn't changed since 2008, so these are guaranteed to work on 2020 and 2021 models as well.

This just made the tank on my FLHRXS look so clean, smooth lines. Took me about an hour to install myself. Great addition to the blacked out bike!

Be careful with that kit. The trim ring for the fuel cap does not like fuel. This is what happened the first time I removed the cap at a gas station on a hot day and the vapors hit it.
