Saw a Sik-Baggers Y'tube fitting an Advanblack stretched tank on a Road Glide. Site says won't fit my '21 RKS because no holes for fuel fill and fuel gauge. Ordered one anyway from my HD dealer, Ronnie's in Pittsfield, Mass. A TRUE helpful dealership, not a stealership. I've heard the horror stories of other places. Figured I'd cut my own damn holes. If I made a mistake, I'm out $400. and I'll try again. With sealed package in hand, Chris at parts counter said an email come in that Advanblack now sells them predrilled. Sent this one back waiting anxiously for the new order (even comes ready in the color of your RKS).
How does it look installed being abs plastic and it just covers up the stock tank? That's alot of coin for a plastic cover but maybe installed and painted it might look decent.
I see a few comments about color matched parts on this thread. I just wanted to give everyone another option if they do not know about us already. http://www.thefactorymatch.com (formerly known as Smitty's Custom Painting) we specialize in Klock Werks Front Fenders but color match many other parts as well. Just a "small" American Business that has the goal of delivery high quality American made HD parts to our customers front door steps. We use as many USA made products along with painting them in USA. We have been doing color matched parts since 2013. Check us out Facebook (@ "thefactorymatch.com") and Instagram (@thefactorymatch) for daily pictures and videos.
Cornpipe here is a picture of a bike owned by Jose Ortiz who did the tank cover the hard way by cutting his own holes in the Adavanblack Stretched Tank Cover. Looks pretty good but I don't have any close up shots to see the fine details of the results. You can get stuff from Advanblack pre colored to match the color of your bike. I already own Side Covers and a Chin Spoiler installed on my '21 RKS. The color match is BETTER than the genuine Harley Davidson Vivid Black Headlamp Visor that I put on.

Thanks for posting the pic Triple B, it looks pretty nice but like you said how is it up close and personal. I don't know it kinda goes against my grain to cover up the factory tank and paint if it already looks good. Different strokes as they say. Maybe when you do yours you can post better pics of the finished product.
Cornpipe, My plan is to use 3M double sided vehicle trim molding tape to use as a "cushion" when I put the clam shell cover over my stock tank. If something goes wrong or I change my mind, my stock tank should be waiting for me in perfect painted condition underneath. Of course I would have to peal off any tape adhesive and reapply the HD CVO style tank badges and flush mount fuel gauge and cap again. No biggie on that part. I will certainly take good pictures when I'm done. I'm terrible at remembering to take pictures BEFORE I do a mod.

Sounds like a plan Triple B and no worries about the pics if you 4get to take any before and afters. Even a few of the finished install is cool. I'm just curious about gaps, form, fit, and function. I also wonder how the abs will hold up to inerrant fuel spills at the pump. No matter how careful we are it happens to everyone. I almost got it bad when the damn trigger lock engaged on me one time recently when my tank was damn near full. I wasnt expecting it to happen but I got it disengaged in the nick of time. Those locks are bad news when filling up a cicle.

With luck, I'd like to do a step by step pictorial or video of the whole process, since it hasn't been documented on the RKS. I'll be sure to post some detailed after pics. If anyone has ever said they've never spilled gas on their tank... also has a bridge they'd like to sell you.
I like my new 16 BR custom bars and my re-done stock seat (got it re-done at Myrtle Beach bike rally)
Do you mind sharing how you wired in your lower fairing LED's, and the brand you used? I've been wanting to do this on mine, but can't find any info and some of the kits specifically say they are not compatible with our RKS's. Thanks in advance!

Lights are custom dynamics. Original plan was to figure out wiring and making harnesses myself. I called CD and asked a tech for the connector PNs and a wiring diagram. And then he just offered to make me custom harnesses for $50 which was a no brainer. Lights are made for a SG/RG and thats why they are not compatible with road kings.
