The only reason they list those as not fitting is because you dont have the windshield bushing bolts on the specials. Or, if you use the optional aux lights with bullet sigs, the sigs will interfere with the deflectors. Otherwise anyone with a brain who can source the proper bolts can mount them. But they are only chrome remember There are other brands that are available in black.
I've used the black Amazon HD knock offs (currently on the bike) and the JES Customs. Can't really tell a difference between the two in terms of performance.

I love my 2014 Roadking but also am so excited about the RK special. My husband just upgraded from his 2009 RK to a 2021 Street Glide Special and says the handling is so much better and the new safety features are great.
What are your thoughts on the improvements of the RK Special? I thought I would go with a heritage or Lowrider ST but they just aren't the same!
My 2014 is lowered for my 5'3" frame and I have a reach seat, and a rekluse clutch which I am very tired of.
Please give lots of feedback. I plan on bestriding a RKs soon.
I have been slowly customizing my 22 RKS as funding becomes available. Today I picked up the gas tank dash that I had painted locally. Due to the heat here in South Texas, I will probably get up early tomorrow before it becomes unbearably hot to put everything back together. I was just so pleased with how the dashboard turned out, I wanted to give a preview…
So I first got a windshield from John at Freedom Shields. As part of the order, I had him etch the following image on the shield.
I really like the etched image and wanted to carry it over to the dashboard. I met with a local airbrush artist and I provided him with the above image and gave him artistic freedom. Below is the finished artwork.
