How do you like them? Do you bang your shins on them? Are they 1.25" diameter? Santoro makes an aftermarket set with changeable Delrin sliders like the HD ones. They don't supply a precut saddlebag support beam like Hogworkz does tho. The Hogworkz set seems clean, but one drop or scuff, you gotta repowdercoat or replace the bar, whereas with the sliders you are just replacing the slider. Do you have pictures of your setup?
Santoro 1.25" bag guards link for anyone else interested
I have looked into the rear tip over guards a few times. I'm curious if anyone here who has installed them on a RKS with the factory stretched bags has "tested" them either intentionally or accidentally to see if they will protect the bag even though the bag looks like it would impact the ground before the tip over guards?
If I wanted to go from chrome to black, what is the best way of doing it?
Remove parts, powdercoat, reinstall. Or, buy replacement parts and sell the chrome parts to help recoup some of the cost. Expect to get less than 50% of what you pay for the replacement part. I did this with my 2016 Breakout years ago. It was not cheap....and I did a mixture of powdercoating and replacement. Best of luck!!!

Did you use a clutch extender and if so, how many inches? 4 or 6?
I did. I used a 4" from KST. I'll tell ya, routing that clutch cable is a tricky endeavor. I don't have it done yet. The cold has scared me out of the garage (even with a heater) and the bike still sits like in the pics.

I have done this on a few parts. Some aftermarket (calling you here Kuryaken!) only have stuff in chrome. A good powder coater will media blast it then coat it. I have been happy with the stuff I have had done. I have sanded and rattle canned a few parts with poor results.

I don't understand, the RKS's are all blacked out, what bike do you ride ?
For me it's the opposite, I would like my RKS to be chrome, I think it would be original and classy, because I find that in vivid black it looks too black, I might already change the exhaust line to chrome, that will stand out a bit...
