Pick up a 2017 or wait for 2018?

There are a lot of good points made in this thread. But it really does come up every single year, and several times a year at that.
Have you looked at the 2017 Honda Gold Wings and Indian Roadmasters? Both of them really really great options!
But a little more seriously, if you like what you're riding now and it puts a smile on your face then wait as long as you need/want to in order to feel absolutely sure you're buying something you want... so sure, in fact, that you don't even feel the need for major purchasing advice from total strangers on the internet.
On the other hand. If you don't like your current ride. If you dread throwing a leg over it. If it makes you curse and spit every time you walk by it in the garage - then by all means man buy a brand new bike right friggin NOW!

Hoping HD has finally figured out how to get an engine right on the first go...

Thanks for the feedback guys! My situation is a bit unusual. I LOVE my current bike, 2013 CVO Breakout . . . but I'm planning a 10,000 mile trek across this great nation in August-September. I've ridden her on a 5000 mile journey a few years ago but am contemplating a tourer for this iron butt ride. So are 2017 owners simply sticking with the HD/Screamin Eagle add ons and foregoing any aftermarket goodies that will potentially invalidate their warranty?
