The Twin Cam is a proven design. And the honest to God truth is, I rode with a buddy who has a 17 RK Special and my bike (14 SGS) ran with him just fine even when he was getting on it. So enjoy the new bike!

That is exactly what I found when I went looking back in April. Fiancially it made no sense to go with a 16. The deals were better on the 17's including trade.
