touring stabilizers
Anyway my question is has anyone tried the Progressive Stabilzer?

I'm just wondering how did it affect the ride? Did it correct the wobble? Vibration increase or decrease.
Also noticed vibration seems to happen more below 2500rpm's. This led me to believe the motor mounts may be crap. Bike has 20k miles on it. I'm not expecting it to be totally vibration free. It is after all a Harley. I have not owned a bike this large before so I'm still trying to figure out whats normal behavior.
When you bought the bike, did you experience the wobble? First try to determine if there is something that needs to be fixed - engine mounts, tire pressure, spoke adjustment/tightening, swing arm bushings, etc etc. I'm hesitant to install a product that can mask an underlying, fixable problem.
Once you are confident that there is nothing you can fix, then I'd explore stabilizer products, and there are plenty. Progressive, True-Track, Alloy Art, many others.

Was it worth the $150 I paid for it? Yeah, I reckon, there are other ways to spend that amount of money that will make a lot more impact in my life, but, hey, until you try it, you'll never know it! The advantage of the TourLink is that it doesn't reduce ground clearance, but, like I said, there's another thread nearby this one where a poster opines that the geometry isn't ideal to get the job done. For those of us riding reduced height bikes, like a Street Glide, this is an important issue, and is why I went with the TourLink. If you're riding a standard height bike, like an Electraglide, you might be better off going with one of the ones that go under the frame, like a TruTrack.
Am I gonna pop for either one on my new (to me) 2011 FLHX? Not for quite a while, and not until I notice that I have a problem. One of the things that have been touted about this new frame is that it eliminates the tendency to wallow in the curves, so I'll pay attention to see whether that's true or not. It really wasn't that big a deal in the first place on the old one, so that will factor in, as well. If I decide I have a problem, I will likely buy the Progressive TourLink because of the clearance issue, and I will either replace the Heim joints with a better quality part from the gate, or I may simply wait until the originals wear out, but I'm going in figuring that at some point...soon...I'll be replacing them. And for a $150 part, spending another $25 or so to get adequate upgrades, isn't my idea of value.
So, to boil all those words down, and to get back to the original question of 'do ya think that the Progressive TourLink has value'? The answer is: 'meh'.
Taming wobble is a matter of keeping your motor/trans/swingarm from moving side-to-side.
The Progressive stabilizer is a good product, and there are others that also work. Do a quick forum search, you'll find most all of the products are reported to work pretty well. Just updating your tires, fresh swingarm bushings and front motor mount may fix the majority of your issues.
