Okay so I changed my rear fender to the 2016 road glide rear fender with led tri bar. Problem is the wiring. I can't find a wiring diagram anywhere that makes sense. Has anyone else done this swap that can help me out? Thanks in advance
I believe 2014 and newer bikes use the CANBUS wiring system which has less wires than pre 2014 bikes so I think you'll need to change the wiring harness coming off the fender.

Different electrical systems. I don't think a CANBUS system will work with a conventional wiring system.

I also did the same conversion on a 2014 Road King to a 2014 Street Glide rear fender and I have no brake lights. Running lights and directionals work fine..any ideas what it may be?? My mechanic ran a new harness from under the seat to the new back fender with the tri light system check power going all the way back to the connector everything checks out. Thanks for any input

More to the point, bits of canbus are unlikely to work in a conventional harness! The added bits need to be rewired as if they are conventional electrics IMHO. Having said that I haven't tried it. Compare what was taken off with what has been added and copy the first wiring onto the second.
I'm working on the same conversion for my 2014 road king to a 2017 street glide rear fender. Can you help explain what you mean or better details on what I need to do to get my brake lights working.

My Brother is currently doing this conversation upgrade
He bought a 17 road glide rear fender on OfferUp for $65 but no wire harness. Everything fit his 09 Road King (PD). We are still a lil lost with the wiring. He bought a used OEM harness on eBay for $27. Once it comes in. We will finish the conversion. We did do a mock-up and it looks badass. The plan is to splice into the original harness and color match it to the new harness. If all goes well I will post what to do with wiring. This is the mockup still have to do the wiring

I just did the 2014 SG to my 1999 Ultra rear fender & wired one of the aftermarket tri bar lights in, had to use a trailer wiring adapter to do the stop & turn signals to work as one bulb. The tri bar light got wired before the adapter. I used the wiring schematic off of this sight that someone posted. Will try to find it.
Following this thread as I have installed a 2017 SG fender on a 2009 EG and have the same issue with run and turn signals work but brake lights don't. Good news is I have CD bag blades and the run, brake, turn work on those so I can still ride. Just would like more brake lights!
