I have a 6" Garmin GPS and trying to put it on my RKC with handlebar mount. I am finding that the GPS is a bit too large. I am wondering how other people have mounted their unit. Getting a smaller unit is not an option. Would like to keep the 6" so I can see it easier. Thanks.
Ram mount ball under the left mirror. Ram mount cradle for the gps. Ram mount arm, length dependent upon my needs and wants. Generally the ~4" arm does me just fine.
I think an HDF member posted something like this a while back, if this is what you're looking for. If I recall, the company is TechMount. I'm in the market for a bike and the King is one of my choices. This looks pretty good, and you can use your Garmin cradle.

Reason: typo
Don't know what you mean "GPS is a bit too large". I have the Harley handlebar mount on both Road King as well as Road Glide and nothing is too large.
I mean the GPS unit itself is big. With the winshield on I'm having a hard time getting the unit located so it is an easy view and out of the way of controls. I have the Garmin cradle and Ram 2"(?) between the bars and cradle. I did see a smaller mount that looks like it should work that another person posted. Thanks for your suggestions.

That looks pretty slick and trying to find it on their website. As I have color matched apes on my Road King, with the HD handlebar mount I am not crazy about the look. I actually have a simple handlebar mount similar somewhere but probably too small for my current bars.

Have you checked the HD handlebar mount and if so would that not work for you? If I end up changing to something else I may have one for sale if interested.
Look on RAM Mount's own website and you should find a wide range of alternative mounting parts that we don't normally see on dealers' websites. Look for 'Components' for RAM-B, if you use a 1" ball. I recently bought myself a longer arm for one of my bikes direct from their UK website, to give me a better installation for one of my bikes (I have three that I use the same gps unit on, with different mounts to suit each).
