Both are 41mm...so...yeah, theyll fit, will the fender bosses be correct, will the length be correct? Good questions, you'll also have to use 2000+ caliper and axle...and wheel most likely!
They will not work tube configuration, wear bushings and internals are different. If you can get the later tubes and guts they will fit the 75 tree's. And Hog Doc is right about having to use all later years brakes and wheels.
Hunt around the local indy shops they tend to have a lot of pull off stuff that be had cheap.

Our dressers have seemingly had 41mm forks forever, however there have been various changes over the years, to front wheel axle diameter and brake caliper mounts. I've recently rebuilt the forks for my 1990 Glide to take current Brembo calipers and essentially had to replace everything. If you want to use those sliders you will have to do the same!
