I'll be honest, I think the factory brakes on my '16 RG suck. I don't have ABS and didn't want it. So, for those of you who have upgraded or thinking about upgrading, whiich "brand" did you choose; calipers, rotors and pads. Did you notice a really good improvement or was it just looks/hype after the fact? Thanks in advice.

fyi.....if you went with the ABS..... you would not be complaining now....with the sequencing between front and rear...they are pretty awesome...only real upgrade for yours would be bigger calipers i would think
I would try EBC HH sintered pads before doing anything else. Ran them on the softie with a single rotor and it made an obvious difference compared to oem pads.
^^^ This. I ran them on my last 3 bikes and they are as good or better than stock HD but they cost a lot less. I think I got all three sets for my bike from Amazon for about the same price as 1 set from HD.
I do get a noise from mine but after a couple hundred miles I don't even hear it anymore, kind of a whirring or locust sounding noise.
Your Brembo calipers are fine; problem is the low-rent rotors and pads. IMHO. I converted to EBC floating rotors and pads the moment my front OEM rotors warped. I did both ends. I highly recommend this upgrade.
Here is another possible option. I went through (warped) two sets of stock front rotors before I installed Matrix composite rotors and pads. They manufacture the composite rotors for Lyndal but also sell directly from their website. Kind of spendy but I have well over 70,000 miles on them with no problems what so ever and the rotors have a lifetime guarantee . I'm on my third second set of pads
I installed ebc floating rotors and lyndall z-plus pad on the the brembo calipers. After i took apart and cleaned the calipers and replaced the old fluid. I am very happy so for with the performence.
Yes, my bike has the factory Bridget's (LOL), not real Brembo's like my Ducati. Just wondered if there were a bigger/more piston set available on the market. I know there are some out there, just haven't looked yet.
But I'll check into the suggestions/advice given here for new rotors/pad change first. Thanks gents!
