This was actually my first thought. I was seeing Top Gun in my mind but didn't know how to search for it.

The dowco map pouch would be too tall. I only have 7.25 inches from the ignition switch to my seat. I'd love to be able to use my tank bag but the switch is in the way.

So I think what I am going to do is use a combination of ideas provided. My tank bag comes with a clear removable pouch for maps, directions. It is 8x10 with velcro along the entire edge so I went and bought some velco straps and velcro strips and my thought is to strap it to my left leg.

I'll post some pictures of my set up if it actually works. I can't see why it wouldn't so this is what I will try. If all else fails, I'll probably do micro-written directions and tape them in the tank or windshield.

I rode from CT to Ohio with tape directions in full size letters (old eyes haha) - you just need to simplify them - towns; route numbers; R or L; and only for the day or half day. I only figured out the next day's route in the hotel room.

So here is what I have come up with for this weekend. It's simple and removable. I hope it doesn't move or slip while riding.

IDK. If that starts flapping around at the wrong time and you look down, target fixation, ouch. I think the masking tape is a better idea.

I will be bringing a roll of masking tape as a back up.

I reckon a guy might be able to source one of those play pouches that pro football quarterbacks use...got no idea where to get one but it goes along with that leg pouch mentioned above, which is a REALLY cool idea!

Good idea, but IDK. In town riding I like to keep my eyes on the road. GPS turn-by-turn through my ear buds work for me. I do like your final destination though!
