Default Map/directions holder

So I am one of those people that regardless of all the visual research, I struggle with directions. When going on long trips I would use my tank bag that has a clear pouch for my written directions. Well my tank bag won't fit on my new RKC due to the ignition switch so I need an alternative.

Obviously the first option is to get a phone mount and be done with it. We'll two things: my ride sprung up on me as of Sunday night and I won't be able to get a phone mount in time before I leave Saturday without paying an arm and a leg for rush shipping.

So my next thought was get a forearm holder like NFL players wear. This is not out of the question but this option will leave beautiful tan lines.

I followed this line of thought and said why not get a map punch that I can attach to my leg? So I am researching and the only one I found is by aerostitch that is designed to be held on my velcro to their riding gear. https://*******.com/yd7etzlp

So I think do to my short turn time, I am going to use my current map pouch and somehow secure it to my leg, potentially with the pant leg straps that I use to keep my pant from riding up. https://*******.com/y79satqz

This is a short term solution but I am curious if anybody has seen or done anything like this. Anybody have a better idea of how I can secure it to my leg without taping it?
Anybody have a better way to hold directions/map while riding?

Any advice is most appreciated.

Many different options on the pilot supply web site, like the one in this link...

harley makes a clear front pouch for phones that is held to the tank with magnets.

using that for a model...use a thick zip lock, put your paper in there and use sheet type magnets to hold in place ( the type they use on magnetic car signs, business cards) you could put 2 pages in there and the magnet in the middle and just flip it over midway through

being an analog guy and fairly happy to wander and bumble around- I have found a great usefulness for the WAZE app in that it has warned me of cops ( not really a concern) but also debris on the road ahead and even road closures due to accident...i like that

The ziplock bag works great. I did this for a while until I got an Iron Rider tank bag for Christmas.

large zip-lock baggie to keep it dry and from getting ripped. Taped to the tank.

I just used the self seal strip off of an envelope. Wrote down the roads I wanted and stuck it to the chrome strip on the tank.

I have GPS now, but this is still a good option.

This should fit over the console.
