If you do ride again seriously consider a pulsating headlight add on. It's saved my bacon many times as I see cars start to pull out from driveways and stop short when they see my flashing headlight. It's called a "headlight modulator" and is legal in most States. Easy to install inline on your headlight wiring harness and you can turn it off and on by hitting the high/low beam switch rapidly. It goes to full on in low light automatically. Great stuff. Glad you survived and good luck on your recovery!!!

A friend of mine went over the handlebars after hitting an animal. Was lucky enough to walk away with some serious road rash and a bad headache. But this is what his helmet looks like now. Without it, he would likely not have survived.

Glad you guys were wearing yours, and that you're going to be okay.

We are thankful you and your wife are OK. We have been there along with our community and all understand where your head is at too. God bless you and prayers for continued healing of your bodies and minds. There is no shame in hanging it up, 30 years was a good run, and it is such a different road way out there than it used to be...
