I don't want the boom to talk to me, so I uncheck the box. It should stay that way until I change it.
Yep, that is the way mine is working.

I shut off the Nav prompts about 4 days after buying my 2015 Limited.
In the 2 1/2 years (and multiple Boom updates since), they remain off.

I have never had the issue of the prompts re-enabling themselves.

It started with one of the releases this summer. It depends on which software version you have.

As I stated; IDK. Just trying to figure a reason for your issue. I always have my nav prompts on; never turned them off.

Sounds like the guys having trouble might need a reset?

That is another thing I have never done.

A factory reset will do exactly what it implies though.
If the default is ON, it will be ON after the reset.

But with that said, a reset might clear some glitch that is causing the setting not to remain where the user sets it.

Had the same problem a few versions back.

It has not happened with the latest version.
I would update and do a factory reset.

I've got the latest and have done a reset twice and it still does it. It's weird.

Yeah mine just started doing it with the latest update. Is it possible to download the software again to do a fresh install on the bike or will it recognize that it’s the same version and not install it?

I'm having the opposite problem after the December 2017 update now. I only use the Nav system on road trips and during my most recent one I kept missing turns because I'd get gas and keep on riding and then miss a turn because the bike keeps turning off nav prompts in the feedback settings on a restart.

Why TF can't they make the system just remember if you want them off or on?? Is there a bug report system anywhere? How can a person report issues to HD?
