best part about about an air ride it is being able to adjust on the fly for road conditions
Which shocks are you using? I have progressive monotubes up front now, and would like a shock that will compliment them if possible.

contact Ray there at JNR... I asked him about the shocks and he said the touring gave a smoother ride while the Gabriels were firmer with my back I wanted to smooth ride so I opted for the touring BUT the best part was Ray said if I didn't like them they would replace them with the Gabriel for me at no cost other than the cost of shipping shocks back and new ones to me

Oh, that sounds pretty good. I guess it's hard to go wrong with that, then.

It looks to me that the JNR kits are just the DIY kits or the draggin baggers kit where as they contain the late 70's corvette air shock, would that be accurate? if it is, my concern with that is the shocks were originally designed for automotive use on a 3500 lb car. Now granted, a car has four shocks and thus the weight is distributed accordingly, but its still a 3500 lb car compared to an 800 lb motorcycle. What kind of ride quality could one expect from those air shocks? how do they perform? is it worth it to just go that route? What about the smooth ride kit from Arnott that runs $600? Anybody have any experience with those?

I did the JNR set up. I am very pleased with the ride. While it would make sense about being made for a 3500 pound car, they don't require any where near the amount of air that a car would require to lift the bike up. My wife even noticed how much better the bike rides now. As far as it being better than any one else's kit, I can't say. I only have experience with this one.

I did the DIY Monroe set up....I learned a bit about preferred air pressure. I use 90 lbs riding 2 up. (170lb & 150lb riders). The ride is sweet! I changed from Progressive shocks to Monroe air. Good choice IMHO. Haven't got any feedback on the jumper in the fuse holder yet LOL.....Jumper in for first test, didn't have a fuse handy yet. System fused correctly now and working great.

Solenoid and relay next to ABS system.

Skully compressor mount

Pressure gauge and switch in dash.

PushLoc plumbing under seat
