Hey folks, been a while. I just traded in my Sportster for a 2014 SG Special. Yesterday I was playing around trying to hook up an MP3 player and was having no luck, regular radio was working at this point though. Eventually I just put the music into my iPhone last night, when I plugged phone in this morning it displayed that it was "reading" my phone and within a short time it showed that it was playing the first song. My issue is that there is now no sound coming out. I pulled the bike over and unplugged my phone to just listen to the radio, I can change the stations and it displays that there is a song on, but nothing coming out. I am sure that while I was playing around with the MP3 I probably hit a button somewhere. While I was pulled over I did make sure it was not on mute, and I went into tuner and made sure it was on FM. I will check the fuses after work, and I sure given that it was working fine last night it's not a lose wire. Didn't know if anyone just hit the wrong button and has a possible fix before I rip my hair out trying to figure it out. Thanks, Scott.

When you switched it to FM was it playing? Sound. Or just would not play MP3's. I believe when you have it reading streaming thru your HU it needs to be on the right input to get sound out. If its on aux or whatever the phone will be playing but no sound will come thru your system

Hey Budda109, I initially plugged in an MP3 player and it wasn't finding it, and I even tried to connect via Bluetooth with no luck. The radio yesterday was playing sound, I switched the music over to my iPhone last night but did not plug anything in until this morning. Immediately after plugging in it was showing that it was reading my iphone, it even showed on the display that it was playing the 1st song and the timing was moving forward every second only no sound. I pulled over and just disconnected by iPhone. I checked the tuner and it was set to FM, I didn't notice any option for AUX though.

Buelligan, while normally I would, as you are probably aware the manual for the radio is almost as long as the manual for the bike itself. And before you say it, I did search for similar threads, and as this happened as my post said I was driving into work this morning so figured I'd take a chance and ask, here is 1cent back as your two cents was a bit too much.
