Infinity Kappa 62.11I

Mine were about $100 on sale- adapter rings $15.

these speakers are more efficient than most and will give more sound per watt than most.

a "watt" rating on a speaker is how much power they can consume- it has nothing to do with how much sound they put out

I put the Infinity Kappa 62.11I in my bike also. I think it sounds great, but I also put Rockford Fosgate PBR300X2 in at the same time so I haven't heard them with just the head unit.

MK where did you get the adapter rings? My search on Amazon turns up ones with horrible reviews.

Couple of "newbie" audio questions Mike......
Are these Infinity Kappa 62.11 speakers water resistant/proof? Or not a big deal if not?
Are you guys replacing the rear speakers as well, or just front fairing? If yes, do you go stock size or can 6.5" be used as well?

For a stock head, look for resistance (2 ohm). Then look for a higher number in the "efficiency" category. That is how much sound a speaker will put out with 1 watt at 1 meter. A speaker with an efficiency rating of 93db will be far louder at the same power level than a speaker with 88db. Polk makes some efficient speakers.

When it comes to speaker "efficiency", look at how many decibels (dB) a speaker puts out with one watt at one meter. With That said, Infinity speaker have a history of producing efficient speakers. As for the KAPPA 62.11I? Sensitivity of 95 decibels at 2.83 volts/1 meter. Not exactly a standard measurement, but efficient none of the less. Harley Boom speakers don't even list their efficiency. Biketonics and J&M Rokker have speakers that are around 92dB SPL.
