Help with bolt in primary

I found that it helps to break all five loose before removing any - the cover seems to pop out and jam the last one or two bolts when you remove the others, making them easy to strip.

The impact driver is your friend !!! And the reason many of those are stripped out is because folks always try to take them off with a T25 instead of a T27!

I replace with SS 1/4-20 x 5/8 oval head caps screws with 1/4 AN SS washers. Only torque to 50 in lbs with a little blue loctite..

Only turn them when they're hot and you'll never have a problem breaking them loose.

Also, never use a center punch or grooving, slotting, hammer, or whatever.
Just use a 15/64 drill bit to take the head off clean and then you can roll the left over shank out with your fingers.
The bolt is obviously already center punched, and this method takes only seconds. Saves the chrome on a lot of primary covers this way.
Why not? I use a punch that is a bit more pointy than a center punch tho..
