I have a 2007 RK custom and just recently installed an s&s 570 chain drive cam with quickee adjustable pudhrods. Last week it ran like crap and discovered the negative connection to my cobra fi2000 tuner was pretty much broken. So I fixed it, started up idled like crap then back fired. I let it sit for a couple hours after that and started it up again, it idled fine, took it down the road and it ran fine. Now when I decel and throttle when I down shift I notice kinda like a miss or putter in exhaust note. Now as it idles there seems to be a lot less exhaust force coming out of pipes more so then when I originally fired it up after install, and now it's significantly less especially rear cylinder is almost non existent, and front cylinder is also considerably weaker as well. What could be the problem? Thank you for any advice or help.
sounds like a timing issue...
might have to double check your timing dots on your cams and timing marks on your rear cam sprocket and crank sprocket...they can be a lil tricky when you install them...one tooth off and your timing is off...
pain in the butt to recheck...but should reconfirm your good in the cam chest.
i'm not familiar w your turner...?
good luck bro...you'll be a cam chest pro after this...
