Default New Headers

I am looking to replace my stock headers on my 08 Ultra. Any Suggestions? I already have a set of Reinhart slipons I will be putting back on.

I have Fuelmoto Jackpot head pipe, I have the stainless, ceramic coated one.I put it on last month, and went on a 2500 mile trip. This pipe made a big difference in the heat, over the stock one.I have a 09 ultra.

Why? I didn't think an '08 had a cat in the header?

You're right it doesn't have a cat. I am looking to improve the performance a bit but mostly trying to get ride of some heat.

I have Cobra Powerports and definitely like them, I would say the heat reduction was about 30%..... not sure how much can actually be reduced without going with a ceramic coated system

Do you have a tuner? With no cat in the headpipe I'd think excess heat is probably from a lean condition. What are your current upgrades?

I put a Fulsac DX pipe on after trying a decated header. The stock heat shields fit well. It cooled down the right side. The heats no longer an issue for the GF, even in this heat wave we are having. I'm sure there is a bump in performance but I'm not ready to pony up for another Dyno yet.

Your options are a bit limited on the old frame. Some of the suggestions listed won't work without a lot of modification.

S&S/Khrome Werks Power Tune Duals seem to get good reviews on our older frame bikes. The only other practical options seem to be true duals or a 2-1 pipe

So a ceramic coated system is noticeably cooler? Really?

i just recently changed my factory heades on my 08 Ultra Classic and i went with Cobra True Duals and love em. I also have Rhinehart Slip ons. Parts Giant online has them priced the cheapest plus free shipping. I think 3 days and I had them here at my house. I have a video on YouTube(just type in 2008 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic Anniversary with Cobra true duals,) you can check the video if interested in hearing them etc. My bike runs fantastic with the cobras and sound great plus no more annoying heat issues . I have no regrets in buying these. I also am using a Vance and Hines fp3 fuelpak because i have screaming Eagle stage 1 air filter plus now running True duals.. Actually here is a link to video https://youtu.be/s5XEaKmIZFk
