Default Drivers Backrest 01 RK?

I was thinking about a backrest for my 01 RK. I have issues with my low back and was thinking this may help. Do they make a real difference? I have a Sundowner seat and it works great but I think a little more support would be helpful. What should I look for in a backrest? I believe it would need to be adjustable with a not too thick or wide pad, I don't want to crowd my wife when she is on the back.

Get the HD adjustable, it does make a difference for lower back problems. Helps my back a bunch. Not sure what you have for handlebars, but a proper set can also greatly help.

I changed the handlebars already, they are perfect. I am amazed of how very little adjustments of the bars, seat positions, foot boards, toe/heel shifter, and even the hand controls make on being comfortable/right. Even the height of the windshield and type made a big difference. I went from a Menphis Shield to a Long Ride Recurve, same height, and what a difference. I have read about a drivers backrest when I was researching my seat and many really liked them. I think that may be the final thing I need. Those things are pricey so if I get one I want to make sure it's the one I want.

Check out a mustang backrest. It will fit with the stock Harley seats and it is not as tall as the Harley backrest. Also it has a little wider shape, it fits in the small of my back perfect and adjusts fore and aft with a thumb screw and you can adjust the angle also.

If you need the bracket that mounts to the fender let me know. I think I have one kicking around. PM me.
