Default Combining wiring...

I'm in the process of collecting components for a handlebar upgrade; I'm going to move up to 16" apes from the 10" that I installed a couple of months ago.

I'm considering getting a set of male/female 16 (or 20) pin molex connectors and combining the left side wires and right side wires into just 2 sets of connections instead of the 3/4 sets (with TBW) that are currently in the nacelle.

Has anyone else thought or done this? Obviously, I'll be following the wiring diagram REALLY close to ensure I don't cross something up, but I'm thinking it should be fine, in the end.

Any thoughts?

Just to clean up the front end for any future improvements; new nacelle, different fairing, maintenance, pretty much anything that might require removing handlebars again.

The new handlebars will have new hand controls with new switches and wiring, just seems like it would be easier, for managing the extra wires too. Why didn't Harley do that in the first place, I wonder...

Probably because the switch housings were externally wired and the TPS was internally wired.

...and to avoid having to futz with those cannon plug terminals when dealing with the three individual components. OP, your deal is, toe, the answer to a question never asked, if you catch my drift...no offense.
