Best early Evo bagger ?
Hey there,
I'm looking for a cheap Evo while my TC is in the shop for accident repair (8-10 weeks).
I can buy older Evo's with under 50k miles fairly cheap here in Australia but I've never owned a bagger before and I'm not sure which models are good and which ones suck.
Could any of you knowledgable folk shed some light?
Cheers,
Richo.

1984/1985-1996 Tour Glide
1985-1998 Electra Glide
1998 Road Glide
1984-1992 FXRT
Tour Glides were great touring bikes. Much like the Road Glides, but were definately outdated by the look. The Electra Glide Batwing fairings are old and classic in their design, but they look great and work. The 1998 was the first year of the Road Glide, last year of the EVO for touring. The Road Glide is an updated/Sporty version of the Tour Glide. The FXRT was much like the Dyna series, but was considered a Sport Tourer.
I would look for a 1998 Road Glide, 1996-1998 Electra Glide, or 1989-1992 FXRT. More than likely, an FXRT is not going to be found.
None suck, all have their pros and cons. Newer isn't always better.
