I got the Arlen Ness Mansfield Jacket and Durango Chaps. http://shop.arlenness.com/store/cate...Category_ID+49
I really like both! Good durable leather with classic cowhide styling. I personally don't like the pure black leather jackets on me. Some of the Arlen Ness jackets are a little flashy but the Mansfield isn't bad. I bought them through http://www.absolutecycle.com/site/index.cfmthey also have an ebay store. I just called and asked for the best price and got about 20% off.
These days for really HEAVY leather (not the flimsy stuff out there) expect $400 and up
Mines about 30 years old now.
Had to have zipper replaced last year and let out too.
Says excelled on tag and made in Argentina
Heavy made be hot to wear, but it will protect your Butt if you go sliding!!
I couldn't bring myself to pay a lot for a jacket so I got an off brand and I actually like it. It seems to have all the features of some of the more expensive jackets at a dicounted price($160). But when the wife was having a hard time "finding one that she liked" I got so tired of hearing those 5 words that when she finally saw "one that she liked" I ordered it immediately. It is a Fox Creek and it is really one of the best jackets I have ever seen. I am so jealous of that damned jacket that I have almost bought myself one on several occasions. But I am a cheapo so I will wait and wish for my old jacket to die a horrible death (preferably without me in it). My next jacket WILL be a Fox Creek.
I bought a hd leather. Had it a year and love it. The jacket retailed for $400, but I found it on sale at Barnetts in El Paso for $199. I drove the 3 hours to pick it up. Not just for the jacket, but they stock a lot of stuff for us fat guys. Not sure how it happened but, I only paid $99 for the jacket. My bill was still $500 or so, guess the lady just read the tag wrong, either way, I got a great deal. Problem is, I have lost some weight this year, and the jacket is a bit big. But, I will still keep it. A really good deal like this is hard to come by.
Hey what size do you wear I have a Classic Jacket that I bought 2 years ago from Jammin Leather. Wore it maybe 5 or 6 times and decided to change to a ICON jacket. Wanting to sell this jacket It is a size 44 with black hardware and zip out liner Premium collection
Not sure who made my jacket, has a Sears Roebuck tag inside, I've had it for 25 years and it was second hand when I got it, still looks great and not a stitch out, although a little freyed around the collar. If I could buy another I would!!!
I've been to this shop in Indiana http://hudsonleather.com/and bought a vest. The stuff looks heavy duty and you can order online also. My jacket is a 30 year old Wilson stitching still good.
