Leather jackets..crap
personallyI've been wearing the same Langlitz jacket for the past 15 years, for me personally this piece of leather is exceptionally well built. I suspect Fox Creek and some of the others also show great workmanship, but the Langlitz family leather goods have been at the same location since the late 1940s! These are not off the rack jackets, every order contains a measurement form and every jacket is made specifically for that individual. every jacket ordered by an individual even has their name and built date sewn into one of the pockets. I've had to use my jacket twice for its intended purposes, and that's to prevent road rash or even worse. Both of us came out with very little wear from both of these events! Particular jacket that I have is what they referred to as their 10 pocket padded Colombia, and it's no lightweight either! With the use of middleweight who other( they give you four choices of leather weights) mine weighs in at a good 13 pounds. because this jacket is custom and, because I've gained some weight over the years one of the better features dealing with the family, has that I was able to get some let out for better fit. I can't say enough of this family company, their products aren't cheap to purchase, but they do last a lifetime and then some!
