Jeff,
Have bad news for you. It turned out to be the front rod bearing in my bike. Hopefully your is not same thing.

look for a new bike. not being funny but a 2003 is 15 years old.

I've considered it, but as I switched jobs in April and am planning on buying a house next year. Sometimes adulting sucks.

i figure if I do the work myself it won't be too painful on the pocketbook.

Think it might have been a crappy tune. I had a dealership dyno tune it about a year and a half ago. They said they knows what they were doing with a PowerVision.

I always felt that it was leaving some on the table performance wise, so I had a independent ship with proven results with powervisions tune it. They said the dealer tune was all screwed up and the front cylinder was way too lean. Guess which cylinder was bad.


i got it put back together this morning, what a difference. Still breaking it in but I don’t remember it ever being this quiet.
