People on here just love to Bitch.....I like oil threads.
Huh?? Who's "bitching" as you put it?
Anyway, since you love oil threads, there's a whole section of the forum related to it. Lots of reading for sure! (See my earlier response above for the link to make it easy)

I am Bel-Ray guy myself.......
But I was at the auto oarts store the other day and they had Schaeffers Oil. I had never heard of it. The store owner swears by it and some good reviews on line. I think I will try that next change.
Motorcycle Consumer News Magazine (if they are still around) used to do oil comparisons.
One that was stands out was the Lucas V twin failed the rust protection test. The Mobil 1 stands out as one the best.
I, too, like Bel-Ray products and use their fork oil and suspension fluid in my 2013 FLHTK Limited. But as for engine, trans and
primary I switched to Schaeffers on the recommendation of George Bryce / Star Racing and sez he has no dog in the fight. It's
available from Amazon and their K&N oil filter prices are good too.
As for MCN, yes they're still in business and I subscribe to it. I like Lucas latest snake oil advertisement - pour it in everything -
gas, oil, or whatever you want to work better. Lmao.

Probably talking about post 3...He's not bitching. Just a little short on post count. Like his manhood......
Thinking of going to a different oil . Anyone using Mobil 1
or Castrol GTX ? I used Mobil 1 years ago in a VTX & liked
it . I didn't know till yesterday that Castrol even made a v-twin
oil . I've been letting a shop do my services for years , but
now I've decided since I'm retired & not working 7 days a week
that I can do my services .
Spoke with my indy here where I live and he explained to me all the HD motors he has rebuilt over the years have all used synthetic motor oil, but the ones that have used the cheaper 20w50 regular engine oil he hasn't had any problems with at all. So I switched over to the HD 20w50 oil I like it better because of the detergent in the oil that should keep the innards in better shape, hope this helps
Apparently the OP would rather start yet an oil thread than take it to the special oil section that the administration wisely created! And for those of you who just LOVE oil threads...get you there too...sheesh people.

We had a thread shut down yesterday on a subject that I had seen for only the first time...shut down because the mod felt we were "beating a dead horse". And I believe the thread had a lotta traction left in it.
Now, this subject for a certainty is 'beating a dead horse'...so. Let's see.
