Wouldn't a CVO of that year have had a 95" engine as stock?
]
No it came from the factory with the 103. The 103 was the CVO motor until 2007 when the problematic 110 came out. The 103 in the CVO was a very good motor.

Not sure I would trade merely for a 103......
I personally love the 03 CVO Road king. Has one of the best motors ever put in the CVO, and is also the best looking CVO king in my opinion. I believe it will hold its value better also.
If I were the OP, I would do what felt right for me, not what other people think is right. I buy what makes me happy and what I like.
Your RK reeks of classic beauty--not sure I'd be in a hurry to "trade up" to the CVO--very different look (not a fan of the paint scheme, but to each his own). Now, if it were a CVO SG or RG, then it might be a different story... I still miss my 2005 RKC--it was the dark cherry red, and was just beautiful in it's white-walled splendor... My .02? Keep your '03, and save for a next-gen RK Special...
