Can anyone please comment on the performance and ride height of the Progressive 944 standard verses Ultra low? Also how about the standard springs verses heavy duty?
I ride a 2010 Street Glide and cannot add to the ride height. Although I'm 6' I'm inseam challenged. I weigh 180 and ride mostly solo but occasionally carry a passenger in the 120 to 160lb range.
Looking for any pertinent info and reviews you might be able to offer? Thanks Folks
I'm 5'11" and about 265. I have 944 with heavy duty springs. The only time I bottom out is something like 20 MPH and a speed bump. You don't want heavy duty springs if you're not over 200ish. Your kidneys will walk out on you.
Occasionally I haul a pax and I've had everywhere between 120 lbs and 250 lbs on this bike with these shocks in addition to me. The heavier the pax the more I looked to avoid any types of pot hole.
I went looking for 12" shocks on my (previous) ultra and ended up getting the 13" progressive 944. Yes, it sits about an inch lower than the 13" stock shocks. I put them at 3 (out of 4) on the adjustable thing and have not moved it for a year.
