Had an accident with my bike.
Had a new front end put on (forks, fairing, etc.)
Discovered that when I turn my fork to the left to lock it, the fairing makes contact with my tank and has chipped the paint on the tank?
Any ideas? Didn't do it before the repair.
What's missing to allow this to happen.
Who did the repair work after the crash?maybe they screwed something up or as already said something is bent.If something is bent this could effect the handling of the bike and compromise your safety. This is why insurance companies salvage out front end crashed bikes.
Thanks for the feedback.
2012 Ultra Limited.
Dealer and Insurance said it didn't need to be totaled.
Had local dealer repair it.
Planning on taking it back but was looking for some idea of what I should expect them to look for.

Good post to read! I'm glad you posted the bike is considered safe by both the insurance company and the dealer. Some on here think any scratch makes a bike unsafe and it simply confounds me.
It's a good idea to be informed about what you believe needs to be fixed but what you should "expect" is the repair shop to use their knowledge and experience to find whatever is wrong. I've been working on my own vehicles since I was 10 years old (mini bike) and can still be surprised at what is actually the cause of an issue. Recently had the wife's car in for an AC problem. I was sure the problem was in the electronic controls. Nope, turns out it was a compressor issue. My point, take some ideas with you but expect them to fix it whatever it really is.
Like others, I think it will either be a faring mount bracket or bump stops for the forks. I also believe that the dealer is responsible for the damage to your tank and should make that right as well.
