Picked up a saddleman bag for tourpack. We have packed it for a up coming trip.leaving in the morning for Hilton Head ,SC. It's about a 10 hr trip for us. The bag seems to be well made and holds a lot of stuff, and it's easy to hook to the luggage rack. I have always pulled some kind of trailer in the past. This trip will be trailerless. I plan to hit some mountain roads in WV and VA on the way. The fall colors should be in full color in the mountains. I am hoping.
When I've done pack rolls in the past, I've always stuck my gear inside a plastic bag inside of them just in case. Nothing worse than a seam leaking and finding all your clean t-shirts are wet down one side.
As for their "Pet Voyager", toy 'handbag' dogs or not, I think they are pretty uncool. And I'd like to see someone try and fit a rotweiller in one.

This is the one we are using. The fall colors are not turned as much as I would have hoped. A lot of green yet. It was still a nice day on the bike.
I never understand why women need another new handbags > then I decide I need a new rack bag!
I have a Tour-Pak but, truth be, I've never filled it right up but I already want to "accessorize" with all the zeal of a gay make over. (I bought Saddleman lid organizers). My life may be chaos but it makes me feel better that my saddlebags are really organized.
You need to get your priorities in life right.
Good enough kit, the Saddleman stuff, but I do wish they would not plaster their logo over everything.
check out Rickrack.....this is a very cool idea and yes i own one of the original first year systems.
I've never seen these (link) before, what's the idea? The rack mount bolts onto the bag, and then clips onto the H-D rack? Might be a good idea, a passenger could use standard 'carry on' aircraft style luggage and then roller it about at the other end.
I see rickrak also do a toy dog carrier. I think these have got to be a really bad fad idea.
Man, if I put the cat in one and started the bike up, he'd **** all over it and then tear his way out. You've got to admit, cats have more class at times.
If someone put me in a bag and strapped me to the top of a motorcycle, I think I'd do the same thing.
If you're planning on using one of the "soft" canvas style luggage bags be sure to get one with a rain cover if possible.
If not, be sure to use a heavy duty, plastic garbage bag inside of that bag to help keep your clothes (and other gear) as dry as possible.
I use a cloth bag on the tour pack rack on my bike for sneakers, dirty clothes, swim trunks etc., and I don't really care if they get damp but it in a heavy, all day rain they will get totally soaked unless I use a garbage bag.
My cousin has a Tri-Glide and he bought a H-D bag with a rain cover that was designed to mount on the tour pack luggage rack and it looks cool and works great. I'll probably have one myself by next season.

We've been using the same bag for several years . It
has performed great . Still got a lot of life left in it .
